Saltair is a great area that is currently unincorporated. The area has a population of around 1,800 and it is located on the East coast of Vancouver Island, Canada. It is situated between Chemainus and Ladysmith and is part of the Cowichan Valley Regional District.
Like so many sleepy coastal towns in Canada this area has plenty of local flare and local character. With sweeping views and stunning outdoor spaces you can be sure that your visit or move here is going to be well worth it. Saltair is home to some fantastic established areas with beautiful older homes and cottages but it is also home to some beautiful condos and newer constructions.
With both established homes and newer constructions you can find the home that fits your needs best. There are also plenty of undeveloped plots where you can build your dream home by the water and really unwind and relax at the end of the day. This area does offer mostly single family homes that are not incredibly large but that are in wonderful areas with great views and great space.
For those that like a small town feel with easy access to bigger cities, Saltair is a viable option. Located not far from Duncan, you can easily get into Duncan to get the necessities that you may not be able to get otherwise. This area is perfect for those that either are retiring and want something that is smaller and one of a kind or those that just want to get away from it all and really see what nature has to offer.
Saltair, like the other coastal towns on Vancouver Island, are going to be a bit more remote than some other areas but the views, privacy, and stunning properties make it well worth sacrificing being in the middle of the big city and all the hubbub that comes with city life, city living, and city properties.
