Living in Zeballos, on Vancouver Island

Have you heard of the community of Zeballos? This is a small area located on Vancouver Island. It was first explored in the 1700s by the Spanish who, at the time, where looking for gold. It wasn't until the 1920s, though, that the area become more of a town. That's when the mining industry became a key component of this area's development and establishment. Zeballos is only home to about 230 people, but it may be the ideal place to call home for you for many reasons.

Zeballos has an incredible history. In fact, the owners of the local gold mine were so successful that it really helped the entire region to flourish in the early 1900s. Additionally, owners of the mine were able to scrap the surfaces of the main streets here and were able to find gold in doing so. Today, things are a bit different since gold mining isn't as beneficial. Nevertheless, there is still some gold mining here and there's a strong fishing and logging industry present as well. More recently, the tourism industry here has been expanding, and is likely one of the reasons you may know of this otherwise small city.

No matter why you've heard of it, or even if you have not, Zeballos has a lot to offer today's home buyer. There are numerous hot fishing spots, plenty of outdoor trails, and a beautiful wooded area. People come to see the salmon while others come for the various waterfront amenities located here. It is a jumping off point, in fact, for the Nootka Sound and the Kyuquot Sound.

There are some historic buildings and homes here as well as a few custom built properties. You'll find single family homes available to purchase here as well, and building your dream home is still a possibility. Come and take a look at Zeballos, BC real estate to find a property that is just right for you in the heart of this community.

What does Woss real estate have to offer to you? Many people come to this small community while they are touring the area or sightseeing. It most definitely has a great deal to offer. Today, it is still an important location for timber and has one of the oldest logging railways on the continent. Buy why should you consider purchasing real estate in Woss?

Located on Highway 19, it is rather easy to get into and out of this area. It is about 129 kilometres from Campbell River and nearly 400 kilometres from Victoria. The community here is remote, but there are numerous cottages and smaller homes. You can also build your dream home here as a number of home builders are available in the area. If you want to live in an area where you can go for a hike, spend some time fishing on the lake, or just enjoying a quaint, smaller community, Woss can be the ideal place to live.

The community of Yellow Point is actually a coastal hamlet. It is a tranquil and beautiful place to call home. Look out one of your windows and you'll have rolling countryside to enjoy. Other areas will have incredible views of the beaches and the ocean itself. This area is a large, forested peninsula that runs into the water along the Strait of Georgia. Most of this area is still very much underdeveloped and rural, though new housing developments are going in various areas. Nevertheless, this area is still very remote. If you hope to buy a home that offers waterfront access, privacy, and countless amenities, you'll appreciate calling Yellow Point home.

Yellow Point has a resort-like feel to it. The community does have an artisan feel to it since many of the smaller business owners take advantage of the incoming tourists. However, this is not a tourism-driven town and that is generally a good thing for those looking to buy a home that offers a wide range of amenities for personal use that aren't crowded.

There are many reasons to love the waterfront properties that Vancouver Island has to offer. The community is right off Highway 19 and only about 20 minutes from Nanaimo and only an hour and a half from Victoria. For all of these reasons, it may be time to consider buying a home here.
